Oppo Find X8 and X8 Pro are launching in India soon, here is everything we know about them so far

Oppo launched its new flagship, the Find X8 and X8 Pro, yesterday in China. At the same time, the company confirmed that these two flagship phones will arrive soon in global markets, including in india. While there is no specific date yet for the India launch of the Find X8 and the Find X8 Pro, it is expected that we would see these two phones in November. And when they come they would most likely be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, a flagship chip that is creating a lot of buzz, and they will have a camera system tuned with Hasselblad Master features.
With a few weeks to go before the anticipated global launch, the Find X8 series is already available in China, giving us a fair share of ideas on what to expect from the international variant. So, here is a closer look at the specifications and features of the new Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro.
In China, Oppo has launched the Find X8 with a 6.59-inch flat LTPO OLED display featuring 1256 x 2760 pixels resolution and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The Find X8 Pro has a slightly larger 6.78-inch micro-quad-curved LTPO OLED display, although its screen resolution is quite similar to the non-Pro variant, which is interesting because it may end up giving the Find X8 a slighter shaper display in terms of pixel pitch. Both screens support 1,600 nits peak brightness globally and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness for HDR.
Camera performance is a focus area for the Find X8 series, which features the Hasselblad Master camera system. In China, the Find X8 includes a 50-megapixel main rear camera with the Sony LYT-700 sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a telephoto camera with a 73mm 3x periscope lens.
The higher-end Find X8 Pro offers a larger 50-megapixel sensor, the telephoto sensor, along with a lens that also has higher reach with 6X optical zoom. Both models feature Oppo’s HyperTone image engine, Hasselblad Portrait Mode, and LivePhoto, which captures short videos along with each image.
Exclusively for the Pro variant, Oppo has introduced a Quick Button. This dedicated button launches the camera, acts as a shutter, and enables zoom controls, somewhat similar to what we have seen with the iPhone 16 series phones.
For performance, the Oppo Find X8 series debuts the Dimensity 9400 chipset. This is a new chipset and it has created a lot of buzz due to big numbers it is posting in benchmarks like the Geekbench and Antutu. The Find X8 and the Find X8 Pro also feature Oppo’s advanced cooling system, which includes a graphite layer, vapour chamber, and thermal conductive gel for optimal heat management.
In China, the Oppo Find X8 series runs on ColorOS 15, which introduces several AI-driven enhancements and a refreshed design.
As for the battery, the Find X8 is equipped with a 5,630mAh silicon-carbon battery, while the Find X8 Pro has a larger 5,910mAh battery. Both support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging and are IP69 rated for dust and water resistance.
In China, the Find X8 is available in Starfield Black, Floating Light White, Chasing Wind Blue, and Bubble Pink, starting at CNY 4,199 (around Rs 49,551) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant, with a 16GB RAM + 512GB variant priced at CNY 4,999 (around Rs 58,996).
The Find X8 Pro is offered in Hoshino Black, Cloud White, and Sky Blue, starting at CNY 5,299 (around Rs 62,536) for 12GB RAM + 256GB and going up to CNY 6,799 (around Rs 80,238) for the 16GB RAM + 1TB variant with satellite communication. Shipping in China begins on October 30, with international availability expected soon after.
What about the India price? Usually we see that in India, the China-based phone companies have similar prices. This means we expect the Find X8 to come around Rs 50,000 in India, whereas the Find X8 Pro may end up hitting around Rs 60,000 to Rs 65,000.
